CNC Fort St. James Campus Rejuvenation

This project is a renovation of a previous sports and recreation facility at the College of New Caledonia’s Fort St. James campus. The renovations include new administrative areas, expanded classroom space, and a food services training kitchen. Of particular importance to this project was the inclusion of the surrounding community and aboriginal culture.

The design is intended to create the feeling of a “home away from home,” offering a warm welcome to students, faculty, staff and the community at large. Details and amenities such as comfortable lounge space, natural light, and organic shapes, colours and textures have been incorporated into the design to bring vitality to the space.
