Our Story

We’re revolutionaries, constantly transforming our methodology to create spaces that stand out. For more than 60 years, we’ve been leaders in the design of transformative projects, embracing innovation and spearheading new ways of building across British Columbia. Our firm’s expertise lies in our ability to adapt, communicate, and transform—both the environment and ourselves.

Sustainability

At KMBR, we incorporate sustainability into our day-to-day operations and the design of all of our architectural and planning projects—but this is nothing new. We’ve always been committed to being leaders in sustainable building design, construction methods, and maintenance. It’s a standard we’ve held ourselves to for decades.

We acknowledge that our studios are located on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations who have been stewards of this land since time immemorial, and on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations), and home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).
