Northern Rockies Community Health Centre
The functional organization inside the building has been carefully laid out to consider the convenience of patients and staff. Physicians’ offices and nursing stations are dispersed and grouped with exam rooms to maximize efficient circulation. All patient spaces are located as close as possible to the building entrance within the constraints of the program. The building has been organized to allow after-hours use of the meeting rooms without compromising the security of the clinic spaces.
Natural light is provided to all occupied spaces of the building while meeting energy conservation targets. Recognizing the importance of natural light to occupant well-being our design provides generous amounts of clerestory glazing into the lobby/reception area as well as above the patient corridors, allowing the public zones of the building to be flooded with daylight.
