Energetic Learning Campus
The Energetic Learning Campus is a satellite school designed for 200 Peace River North Secondary School students. The project entails renovations and tenant fit-out of existing space of the Energetic campus building in the Fort St. John, a recreational complex with two ice rinks, running track and speed skating oval. Learning spaces consist of multi-purpose learning studios, labs, and break-out spaces to facilitate collaborative project-based and personalized learning and the use of team teaching. Flexible spaces are changeable using demountable partitions and operable walls, and technology throughout is state-of-the-art. Bringing school into the community, the curriculum focuses on active learning related to a sports academy program, recreational facility maintenance, kinesiology instruction and the use of 21 Century Educational philosophy.
