St. Helen’s Elementary School and Parish

The project consists of a two-phase rebuild of the existing school. Phase 1 is an addition to the west of the existing gymnasium. Phase 2 is a new school building and turf field that will replace the existing.

The recently completed phase 1 West Wing provides four classrooms, a learning assistance room, a meeting room, breakout spaces, washrooms and a small office on the main floor which allows supervision of the three entry points into the wing. St. Helen’s is committed to fostering a collaborative, 21st century learning environment with a focus on differentiated and project-based learning. Both phases provide learning spaces which enhance the school’s pedagogy and support further integration of technology, as the use of Wi-Fi, iPads and smart boards are already part of the school’s daily approach.
