BC Nurses’ Union
This facility serves its members who live and work throughout British Columbia. KMBR was familiar with the location and facility as we designed the original building in 1999.
With the continued growth of its membership, the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) required more space to enhance operations. We provided design and planning services to improve the effectiveness of the existing facility while offering a new, focused space for the addition. Of particular importance was the facility entrance. Together with BCNU, we developed a design that is welcoming, inclusive and professional, reflecting the values of the union and its members. Included in the renovation and addition was the planning and design of two floors of offices, multiple meeting rooms, a large board room, underground parking, a lunch room, an exercise room, a copy room, and a mail room. On this project, insightful planning was essential to streamline and enhance workflow.
