View Royal Fire Hall
View Royal, British Columbia

This four-bay state-of-the-art fire hall will replace the existing View Royal Fire Hall, which has reached the end of its service life. Prominently located on a new 1ha. site facing the Island Highway on Vancouver Island's West Shore, this approx. 13,000sf fire hall will house View Royal Fire and Rescue's eight pieces of apparatus, and will be the pride of the community. Fully glazed bay doors set into a glazed street facade will proudly display the fire apparatus. A 16ft high glazed entrance lobby doubles as display space for historical fire fighting artifacts.

A two-story administration wing will house offices, fitness room, kitchen, and recreation facilities for the volunteer fire fighters. At the centre of a large training compound located at the rear of the site, a four-story hose drying tower is designed to provide opportunities for high angle rescue, rappelling and other important training manoeuvres.
