The team of KMBR and Poon Gardner Billington Architects & Planners were commissioned for the Dawson Creek and District Hospital Redevelopment Project. The project was completed on a compressed scheduled and tendered in three phases. Phase 1 devised of a new Services Building; Phase 2 constituted a shell for a major addition; and Phase 3 involved the fitout of the major addition and minor renovations to the existing hospital.

The new construction was designed to harmonize with materials and forms used in the old hospital while at the same time giving expression to the new facility. Areas included in this project were:
